Honduras, Deportes.- El Motagua y el Herediano se enfrentarán este miércoles en Tegucigalpa en el partido de ida de los cuartos de final de la Copa Centroamericana de Concacaf, duelo programado para las 8:00 de la noche en el estadio Chelato Uclés.
Dirigido por el argentino-hondureño Diego Vázquez, el Motagua selló su pase a los cuartos de final de la competición regional al empatar frente al Herediano en Costa Rica 1-1 el pasado 28 de agosto.
El Herediano, de la mano del costarricense Jafet Soto, logró la clasificación a los cuartos de final al vencer de visita por 1-0 al San Francisco, de Panamá, el 22 de agosto.
El Motagua, de local, no solo buscará tomar ventaja ante el Herediano en el torneo de la Concacaf, sino también desempatar una serie con el equipo costarricense, al que se ha enfrentado en cinco ocasiones, de las que ganó dos, perdió dos y empató una.
Los hondureños llegan al duelo contra el Herediano luego de vencer por 3-1 al Victoria, en el torneo Apertura 2024, en el que está situado en el segundo lugar con 17 puntos en nueve jornadas
El Herediano, cuarto en el fútbol costarricense, viene de derrotar por 2-1 al Santa Ana. 20 puntos en 11 partidos tienen el Herediano en la liga tica, están a cinco del líder Alajuelense.
